What the test shows
A blower door depressurizes or pressurizes the house and measures how much air leaks through the shell. A duct-leakage test measures air leaving the heating and cooling ducts. The report lists the number, the conditions, and whether it met the target on the permit.

What report does the code official need?
A written airtightness result, the test conditions, and the duct-leakage result when the permit requires it. We send the report the code official asked for on the permit.
When should the test be scheduled?
After the air barrier is complete and before finishes hide the leaks you may still want to fix. Builders usually book the final test when the house is ready for the code inspection.
